It wraps a broad range of human actions, foundations, and modes of expression, including music, sculpture, literature, photography, film and paintings. The meaning of art is discovered in a division of philosophy known as aesthetics, and even disciplines such as olden times and psychoanalysis to examine its relationship with human beings and age bands.

Traditionally the word art was used to denote any talent or mastery. This observation has changed throughout the Romantic period, when art came to be seen as "a special faculty of the human mind to be classified with religion and science."  In general, the art is done with the purpose of stimulating thoughts and feelings.
