Henri Julien Félix Rousseau (21 May, 1844 to 2 September, 1910) was a French impressionist post painter in primitive or naive approach. He also named as Le Douanier (customs official), an amusing explanation of his profession as an excise collector. Ridiculed in his life, he became known as a person taught smarts whose efforts are of high creative quality.
Henri Rousseau was born in Laval, Mayenne, and Loire Valley in the family of a tinsmith. He attends Laval High School as an occupant, when his father becomes a nonpayer and his parents have to leave the city of the convulsion of their home.
